Quadro RM allows you to reliably manage and retrieve all the technical information required for production. Whilst this often includes NC part programs the data is not restricted to this area, but can include setup sheets, tooling information, stage drawings, finished part drawings, methods sheets, in fact anything required to manufacture components correctly.
Quadro RM is not only for use in the production office, but is designed to allow information to be downloaded and displayed on terminals on the shopfloor, at the very heart of the production process. From here the NC program can be transferred to the CNC machine, and the technical information viewed (and printed if desired) on the shopfloor display.
Quadro RM may be used in a number of different ways:
NC Program Control
As our Advanced DNC offering Quadro RM offers comprehensive functionality. The system enables NC programmers to store the programs they create against the particular operation and machine that it is to be used on. Alternative routings and operations may also be stored. Should an engineering change be required it is a simple task to find all the programs for the part in question, and ensure that they are all updated if required. In addition the Quadro Compare tool is supplied with the system. This allows the comparison of programs modified during prove-out with original program, or programs for the same operation on different machine can be compared.
Control of all technical data - The Paperless factory?
The paperless factory, or just LESS paper? In any event Quadro RM can help by collating all the information required for the manufacturing process and storing it securely until required by other technical departments or required for manufacture. The data may then be viewed using DloG's graphics viewing engine, or alternatively a third party application may be invoked to view, for example 3D drawings and solid models.
Shopfloor Communication
DLoG's shopfloor software bears the 'Tip' name as all modules may be operated by a one-touch operation of the finger tip. TipDialoG provides the link to all the data previously stored at the planning stage in Quadro RM. TipDialoG provides a secure user interface and it is accepted and liked by shopfloor personnel in hundreds of DLoG sites world-wide, hence operator training in the method of use is minimal. It cannot be minimised and is designed to operate purely with a touch screen or pointing device. A keyboard is not required. If a keyboard character is required, for example when searching for a particular product, then an on-screen keyboard is displayed. This ensures that operators cannot access other applications unless specifically authorised to do so. Updated files (e.g., optimised NC programs) are returned to production planning for approval and download in the future.
The interface of TipDialoG is designed to be easilly configured so that it can be Tailor-made to suit your own particular application.
