The new TREK-753 is equipped with a high-performance Intel Atom processor, an additional analog video connection, and a gigabit Ethernet for exchanging data. It also has I/O ports, such as a COM port and an audio port, and CAN-bus technology, and uses the network protocol SAE J1708 to transmit diagnostic data and control information in commercial vehicles. In addition, the integrated CF/SD/SIM card ports enable data to be exchanged quickly and easily.
Greater efficiency and lower costs, thanks to improved safety
Safety is a key concern in any fleet. With the TREK-753, we have developed a number of technical innovations to increase safety for drivers and vehicles. For example, the video input port enables applications to be run on the TREK-753 that improve safety for fleets of vehicles. The connected camera can be used as a rear view camera, for instance, in order to reduce the danger of blind spots and to help drivers maneuver and reverse their vehicles. These cameras can also be installed in transport fleets, such as cabs and buses, in order to observe the driver or passengers.
The availability and transmission of vehicle information also helps improve safety: Thanks to the J1939 protocol and CAN-bus technology, the driver can now call up additional vehicle information, such as the engine operating status and fuel level, from the dashboard. This enables the driver to act in good time, wherever necessary, and thereby avoid expensive damage or even vehicle breakdowns. The driver can send the vehicle data obtained directly to the control center in order to keep the center constantly updated.
