Designed to withstand rigorous use in extreme environment, the Boston's unique magnesium alloy chassis provides excellent torsional strength in conjunction with a high impact, high strength zinc alloy casing. Capable for surviving repeated drops to polished concrete, the inclusion of high impact pneumatic rubber bumpers ensure that the Boston is not only fit for purpose but the strongest mobile computer on the market.

Voice Activated
As a true multi-modal terminal, the Boston can be configured to operate as a voice recognition terminal. An operative can receive instruction and enter data purely via voice command. Alternatively the terminal can be combined with manual entry and barcode/RFID scanning.

RFID Label Scanning
The Boston can read Low Frequency (125KHz) and High Frequency (13.56MHz) tags and labels. RFID scanning can be combined with bar code reading within the same unit and with no requirement for an additional external reader.

Multi-Radio Options
The Boston comes equipped with three radio variants: Bluetooth for near range connection to peripheral devices, such as mobile printers; WiFi for Local Area Network (LAN) connectivity, e.g. within the confines of a warehouse or other fixed location; GPRS for Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity, e.g. for data transfer between field workers and a central office location.

Barcode Scanning
The Boston is available with a range of scanning options including standard range, long range and extra long range. The unit will read both 1D and 2D codes. Barcode scanning can be combined with RFID tag reading within the same unit and with no requirement for an additional external reader.

In Vehicle Satellite Navigation
The Boston is ideally suited as an in-vehicle terminal, when combined with an optional cradle. The unit can run standard GPS navigation software. This means that vehicle location can be combined with operational activities, such as proof of delivery signature capture or routing-scheduling, without the need for a separate navigation device.

Camera/Signature Capture
The Boston is equipped with a high resolution colour camera, making it ideal for recording acceptance of deliveries, logging of the condition of delivered goods, parking enforcement, etc. A further element of 'proof' can be introduced via the use of the Boston's signature capture facility.

Fleet Management
With a fully integrated GPS, users gain even greater fleet control and visibility with the ability for remote setups, diagnostics and to track vehicles in real time to a fraction of a kilometre.

Warehousing
Facilitating superior data capture the Boston is available with a range of laser scanners and imagers to suit any scanning requirement.

Proof of Delivery
With a fully integrated camera with signature capture capabilities users can gain full traceability of their delivery operations. In addition, the camera adds extra functionality with the ability to record damaged stock.

Supply Chain/Field Service
Selection from either WiFi, Bluetooth or GPRS radio enables users to stay connected wherever they are and whatever task they are performing. The Boston is ideal for mobile applications and operations.
